Exclusive Dealership
APE Africa become the exclusive dealer for Mitsubishi Forklift Trucks.
1992
The Beginning of Masslift Africa
APE Africa decides to move away from materials handling. Francis Garrard purchases the dealership and Masslift Africa is born.
2003
Mitsubishi Grendia
The Mitsubishi Grendia is launched.
2007
Mitsubishi Forklifts Warehousing Range
Mitsubishi purchases Rocia and introduces a Mitsubishi Forklifts warehousing range for the first time.
2009
New Masslift Africa Shareholders
New Seasons Investment Holdings and Nodus Trading become Masslift Africa shareholders.
2010
London Eye Investments Becomes Shareholder
London Eye Investments becomes a Masslift Africa shareholder, logo rebranding occurs and Goeff Tucker replaces Francis Garrad as CEO.

Award Winning Forklift Dealership
- Masslift Africa wins the ‘Dealer of Excellence Award’ for the first time.
- Masslift Africa wins ‘Top Service Contract Generator Award.’

Mitsubishi Ninja
The Mitsubishi Ninja is launched.
2014
Record-Breaking Sales
Masslift sells over 500 new forklifts for the first time in a year.

Masslift Africa wins ‘Top Market Share of Electrics and Warehousing’ Award.
2018
New Seasons Equity Fund Becomes Shareholder
New Seasons Equity Fund becomes Majority shareholder through merger of Nodus Trading 1 and New Seasons Investment Holdings.
2019
Launched Theatre of Dreams
Masslift opened their own dedicated training centre, the Theatre of Dreams.
2019
1000th Ninja Handover
- Goeff Tucker retires as CEO.
- Masslift Africa sells their 1000th Ninja just over 5 years after launch date.
2020
New Achievements
- Masslift Africa introduces the Ninja as the company mascot.
- Masslift Africa receives a level 2 B-BBEE certificate for the first time.
- Masslift Africa survive the Covid-19 pandemic and produce a record EBITDA selling over 1000 forklifts for the first time in the company history.
